GRAND MOTEL is a "Midwestern Post Emo" band from the Heartland. Carrying the sustained energy of emocore and second-wave emo, this third cycle of the genre aims to establish an even deeper affinity to emotional angst and genuine truth. Band members Keith Kliewer (drums) and Myles Ferguson (lead guitar/vocals) conjure a renaissance of both affliction and affection with idiosyncratic song structures and lyrics which reverberate off the cracking walls of us found deep within the lost caverns of our soul. GRAND MOTEL’s music fuses the simulation of now to the reality of the will be as the cadence of restorative pain moves darkness to the light of life, a light that consumes like a flame to gasoline.
